Welcome

FINALLY WE ARE BACK !!! Meetings have resumed at the club house, lots of work is being done in order to bring everything back to life after being abandoned during the lock down period, meetings are Tuesday 19:00 until 21:00 and Sundays 10:00 until 12:00 noon, we also have foundation and intermediate courses running (pop in and see us and have a course tailored around you)We also have our club net on 145.300 FM from 19:00 hours on Thursdays.

March 2021 As we move into Spring 21, everyone is hoping for a better year than the last. The lock-down of 2020 meant that KDARS was unable to hold any meetings or take part in any special events. The same isn't true for Radio Ham's. Many hams took the oppotunity to carry out work on their station set-ups, a fact that retailers can atest to with bulging order books. Last year saw the main manufacturers releasing a number of new and some improved products to add to the mix. Technology in the amatuer radio hobby has seen the introduction of more digital modes and devices. With a handheld radio and a link to the internet, you can easily chat to fellow hams around the world and a few going around the world, the International Space Station has an amateur radio setup! So 2021 promises to be a great year for the hobby. KDARS offer training to new members with testing done 'in house'. If you've been out of the hobby for sometime, come and see us at Harrington Aviation Museum and find out what the hobby can do now. Keep watching this space for news and information, or contact by email at : stevelornaf@aol.com
